When seventh grade student Connor Vorhoff scheduled a meeting to speak with the principal this fall, he had big plans. Connor is President of St. Vincent DePaul Society, a very active service organization at St. Angela Merici School. Each Wednesday the club makes breakfast sandwiches for the homeless and Connor was eager to reach out and help the needy in additional ways. He had a plan to collect coats for those in need of warmth this winter. After working with administration to create a flyer and promoting the coat drive on campus, out school collected boxes of coats which will be distributed to those in need. Connor truly lives out the charism of St. Angela Merici, “Serviam,” which in Latin means, “I will serve.”
